A Trip for Two!

Awhile ago I posted that I had spent time helping my friend who was injured in an accident find a good Boston car accident lawyer.  When I posted the other day about the  other car accident  that caused the traffic on my way to work it made me think of her and I gave her a call.  She has made a full recovery since her accident and recieved a settlement to cover the medical costs!

I told her about the trip I was planning and she said she would be up for joining me. I am excited because I would love to have the company and think we will travel really well together. We both are laid back and like to do the same type of things.  She suggested we go  somewhere in South or Central America.  I thought that was a great idea.  I have always wanted to go to Argentina or Brazil and Costa Rica and Beliz are on the top of my list as well.  Any suggestions?

Where to Go?

So much traffic on the way into work today! Not a good way to start the week. I think there was some type of accident on the highway that backed everything up. That is the third time that has happened in the last few weeks.  I hope that no involved was hurt or no major damage occurred and that whoever was involved has a good NJ car accident attorney to help them sort things out.

The extra time sitting in the car did give me a chance to think though.  Sometimes I do my best thinking in those in between times, like when I am in the shower or in transit somewhere like this morning. It occurred to me that it has been a really long time since I have taken a trip. Not a little trip, but a Trip with a capital T. I have decided that this fall is the time to go. I feel like I  want to do something international, but not a major tourist destination. Something more off the beaten path, but where I would still feel comfortable traveling on my own. Any suggestions on a good spot to sate my autumn wanderlust?

Time for Some New Wheels!

It has been over a year since my last post and a lot has happened. This summer I am resolved to get back to blogging regularly.  I have been busy lately doing a lot of research as I am thinking about buying a new car!  Car shopping can be intimidating though.  My very first car was a Toyota and I was  considering buying a Toyota again this time, but all the recent recalls, sudden acceleration problems and the national Toyota class action lawsuit have definitely caused me to reconsider.  And it is not just safety(although that is definitely a factor!) it also the concern that the resale value on so many vehicles has been diminished. What do you think? Am I foolish to even consider buying a Toyota at this point?

Nephew is turning 1 next week!

I’m proud to say that my nephew, David Peters, will be turning 1 next week! Seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital on the day he was born. Now the question becomes, what do I get him as a gift? Since I want him to grow up loving soccer, I thought I’d get him a mini soccer ball to play with. I’m always open to suggestions though so please feel free to reply!

Looong night last night - feeling a bit sleepy today

Well I spent all day yesterday at a Saint Patricks parade, needless to say that there was a lot of drinking going on.  I am definitely feeling the effects of lack of sleep today and probably into tomorrow.

My friends and I took the train into the city early on in the morning, and were one of the first people in the local pub.  We must have visited a dozen pubs before leaving for home.  We did sleep on the train ride home a bit, but the sleep effects of that were rather minimal.

All I want to do right now is listen to my new Push Play cd and call it a day.

Push Play Concert!

So I was out in Allentown PA this past weekend visiting a friends, and we decided to get tickets for the Push Play Band concert at Crocodile Rock.  What an AMAZING show!  I have a bunch of photos on my camera that I will have to upload on this site.

It’s snowing! No golf today

Well it’s a snowy day out there today and I am home from work. I really wanted to hit up the golf range today with my friend Lauren, but looks like the snow will keep us from doing that. I wanted to try out my new women’s golf club set that my husband bought me for my birthday last week. Maybe next week will yield better weather to that!

Not a good day…

Well I’m not feeling all that well today, a friend of mine was recently in a car accident in Boston MA.  Some drunk driving hit my friend from behind in his automobile, causing some serious injury.

We’ve been spending most of the day today looking for a Boston car accident lawyer, and think we’ve lined up a good one.  Let’s hope my friend will be ok!

Awww, shucks

Actually, I’ve got to hand it to the guys over at The Shot. I may not always agree with your politics, but your innovation over the past year or so has been impressive. As best I can tell, you’re the only ones on the South Carolina political scene who are integrating the latest in new media into your campaigns and your business. The Twittering of South Carolina politics is particularly cutting edge. Kudos to you, and I hope you get some competition soon!

Hey, y’all!

Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve cranked up the old blog. Suffice it to say my keyboard is a bit rusty! I shut down the Laurinline nearly a year and half ago when I joined the presidential campaign of Barack Obama. This historic race has taken me around the country — from Mobile, Alabama to the Columbus, Ohio to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and back to my beloved Southland. I’ll write more extensively about my campaign experiences someday, but for now I’m opening up this space so I’ll have a place to share a few thoughts, post the occasional YouTube video, and have some fun.
